About the artist

Iain Vellacott (K, 1973-78) is an Old Wykehamist whose oil paintings explore atmosphere, light and life around Winchester College.

Growing up in Kingsgate Street, his art captures familiar scenes and shared moments, enriched by the happiness of sunlight.

Iain lived in South West France for 10 years before moving back to the UK in 2015. His work has been exhibited at a number of galleries in the UK and France, and he has held two highly sucessful solo exhibitions at The College.

Art with purpose

15% of every print sale is being donated to the Crown & Manor Club, a youth club in Hackney providing a safe and nurturing haven for boys and young men aged 7-25.

Winchester College has a long association wtih the Crown & Manor Club, which supports young people’s all-round development through structured activities and informal mentoring.

It helps members grow in confidence, think independently, work with others and explore sporting and creative interests.
